My 2016 book-et list

I decided to make a book-et list for many reasons. More specifically, because last year my reading game was not as strong as I’d have liked it to be. I was bogged down with books from my course reading list and read some of them for the sake of revision rather than for pleasure. Reading is a hobby of mine and I am determined to ensure it stops feeling forced and find the fun again.

This year therefore, will be different.

Quote me.

I will make a conscious effort to finally make time read the books I have had on my mind for a while, and if I think they deem suitable for a review (good or not so good), I shall not hesitate to write one.

And so begins my book-et list*:

  1. George R. R. Martin – A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 1)
  2. Paula Hawkins             – The Girl on the Train
  3. Owen Jones                   – The Establishment (and how they get away with it)
  4. Harper Lee                     – Go Set a Watchman
  5. Helen Fielding              – Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy (Book 3)
  6. Anne Frank                     – The Diary of a Young Girl
  7. Karren Brady                – Strong Woman: The Truth About Getting to the Top
  8. Clare Mackintosh       – I Let You Go

I can’t wait to cross them off one by one, keep checking back to see my progress!

What will you be reading this year? Leave a comment below.

  1. So many amazing books! I’ve the the whole A Song of Ice and Fire series (Game of Thrones) and it’s some of my favorite books ever! Will you be doing reviews of some of the books? x
