Following a successful stint of critically acclaimed shows across the country, The Band is coming to Yorkshire.
The Leeds Grand Theatre stage will transport audiences between present day and 1992 to tell the story of Take That, five female fans and the profound affect music had on all of their lives.
We all have that one band that was the soundtrack to our summer, or a full chapter in our lives, and for the group of friends portrayed in the show, Take That is exactly that. The pop group’s music defined their teenage years and was everything to them. Now, 25 years on, the friends are reunited in a bid to make their lifelong dream of meeting their idols a reality.
Let It Shine
Five to Five, the winners of BBC’s Let It Shine, battled top talent from across the nation to perform in the musical and will be playing Gary, Robbie and the gang. Not only will they be acting, but they will also be singing classic Take That songs, including ‘Never Forget’, ‘Back for Good’, ‘The Flood’, ‘Shine’ and ‘Rule the World.’
Written by Olivier Award-winner, Tim Firth, and produced by David Pugh, Dafydd Rogers and Gary Barlow himself, The Band is a show that you’ll never forget. It will resonate with all pop fans, whether Take That are your guilty pleasure, pet peeve or all time favourite group.
It’s set to run at Leeds Grand Theatre from Tuesday 20 to Saturday 31 March 2018 so get your tickets now. After all, it only takes a minute…
