Everyone has a story to tell, and this blog is mine.
In a nutshell, I’m an aspiring writer, reading Journalism and English at the University of Salford, a part time proofreader, and the Women’s Editor at Kettle Mag.
I’ve always thought of myself to be somewhat average; my knees click when I walk, and half the time my mind is elsewhere so I don’t pay enough attention to where I’m going. Despite all that though, I know who I want to be in life and that I want to write.
Why? You may ask. I’m inquisitive by nature; I’ve never liked relying on others for gossip or information, much preferring to find out for myself and re-tell it in a way which I see fit.
I spend my free time going out with friends to music venues to watch bands play, watching films at the cinema, and keeping up to date with the latest fashion trends and current affairs. I’ve always liked to read too, and have spent many coffee fuelled nights staying up, trying to get to the end of a book.
The thought of being a writer and having the power to have someone so hooked on what you have written that they do the latter, excites me. Plus, the fact that “Bad things don’t happen to writers; it’s all material.” – Garrison Keillor, ensures that no matter how unlucky I think I am, something good will always come of it.
